Scarpalia | Tomer Netanel Levy
Year: 2022
Edition: Unique piece
Materials: Travertine, Steel, Brass
Dimensions: 240/120/74 cm
This piece is the first result of formal research I conducted following my visit in “Fondazione Querini Stampalia”, A library and museum designed by the master from
1959-1963, in Venice.
The table made in Travertine, Brass and Steel, all in their natural state, forming an
unusual composition of rectangulars with architectural dividing details.
Top surface and structure are made of multiple component that can be reassembled
on site.
The combination of material and shapes in this piece is paying tribute to the cratmanship of North-Italian artisans that have been working under Carlo Scarpa.
