Ron Kenedi ‘Stealing from Myself’. Oil paintings on display at S Fine Dining in Westminster, Orange County, May 2-June 1, 2008.

Close to 30 works of art in oil, oil pastel, watercolor and ink by Fountain Valley artist Ron Kenedi are on display in the gallery annex of Westminster’s gem of culinary delight ‘S’ Fine Dining (545 Westminster Mall Drive, Westminster, CA). St. Croix-based salt-gallery.com visits Orange County to host the exhibition at ‘S’. This is Ron Kenedi’s first solo show in Orange County. The lively reception for the artist took place on May 2nd.

Ron Kenedi augments his technical skills for realistic depiction with the courage to imbue sharp colors in honest figurative scenes from where we live and where we don’t. He attributes his breadth of cultural subject matter to his travels and many years of shifting residences. The vibrant oil paintings point at human interactions of passionate sorrow, contemplation and solemnity. They bring us with honest happiness to a deep harmony. It is a pleasure to walk though the gallery space and drink in the mysteries.

Kenedi spent his formative years in New York- as an art student in Stony Brook and an urban artist in the City. He has since lived in Phoenix, Grass Valley –- and Mallorca back in the early 70s.
