An exhibit in New England in September will most surely strike a strong creative chord: twelve artists from Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands selected by Boston curator Joanna Soltan will be featured in “America’s Paradise” and “Isla Del Encanto”: Contemporary Art from the American Caribbean at the Grossman Gallery at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. On view will be the works of several Crucian and St. Thomian artists as well as excellent representation from Puerto Rico and Vieques. Among the Crucian artists we note LaVaughn Belle, Luca Gasperi, Monica Marin, Maud Pierre-Charles and Mike Walsh.
